Deputy Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: Head Office, Ashford Hours: Full Time (40 hrs per week) Vacancies: 2 Positions Available

At Boyce Care, our leadership team plays a vital role in shaping the quality of support we deliver in the community. We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join our established team and help drive our vision of delivering better care locally for adults with Autism, a Learning Disability and complex needs.

As Deputy Manager, you will support the operational running of our services, guide and develop staff teams, and ensure the people we support live full, meaningful and self-directed lives. You will lead with integrity, compassion and professionalism, promoting dignity, choice, empowerment and respect.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, typically worked Monday to Friday, with some evening work required to support operational needs. The role also includes participation in a weekend back-up manager rota, supporting the wider management team to ensure continuity of service.

Training & Development

You will receive comprehensive training and development, including leadership support, specialised LD & Autism training, PBS practice, PROACT-SCIPr, and opportunities to achieve recognised management qualifications such as Level 5 in Health & Social Care.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 5)
  • Experience supervising or managing staff teams
  • Experience in Learning Disability, Autism and/or complex needs services
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, and safeguarding principles
  • Experience with rota management, incident reporting and operational oversight

Support Supervisor

The Support Supervisor takes overall responsibility for a house or area of the service, coordinating all aspects of support to ensure care is delivered in line with individual support plans, company policies and regulatory standards.

Training & Development

With us, you’ll receive comprehensive training, including the Care Certificate, specialised training such as LD & Autism, PBS planning, and PROACT-SCIPr. Opportunities to gain recognised qualifications such as NVQ 3 and 5 are available for more senior positions once experience has been developed, and fully funded to support your career and progression.

Essential / Must-Have Requirements

  1. Right to Work in the UK

  2. Full UK Driving Licence or International Licence
    At least one year of driving experience and confidence driving across the county.
  3. Enhanced DBS & References
